Maybe they are starting to realize that SS can not last for future generations, or even for the group in their 30 and 40s. If they can get the baby boomers threw, It will probably go bye-bye.

I would have been more upfront and said "Listen here, we're gonna fix this and fix this now. If you're age 35 or under, you won't be receiving any benefits. If you're age 36-45, you'll be receiving reduced benefits on a sliding scale in relation to your age. And over the next 30 years, we will slowly reduce the amount paid in."

It was part of the tax deal and pushed by the Republicans as a way to increase hiring. Strangely enough the private sector job stats released yesterday showed 3 times the increase last week over what was expected.

Overall jobs may be down tomorrow because of lost government jobs, but the private sector seems to be finally picking up.
