Just had a vasectomy.

Just got back from the doctors and had a vasectomy. Anyone here had it done and have any helpful suggestions for me?

I had mine a week ago today. Very simple advice:
1. use frozen veggies as ice
2. wear the jock religiously,
3. RELAX. If you don't you'll be sore WAAAY longer.

Jockstrap, Ice rest for the next few days, give it a week before doing any lifting.

Get your pain meds, soon if you wait to take it till you start hurting they aren't as good at dulling the pain, you'll be down to non narcotic meds by monday if you follow your doctors advice.

I keep wondering what the big deal is about the valium, they don't make me goofy.

Had mine done a few years ago, no problem.

Also consider getting one of those lap trays that have a pillow on one side.
You'll figure out why.
