On a quiet night, I am within hearing distance of I 40. But, these hogs were killed within 10 miles or so of North Canadian river. In a hay grazer patch about waist high.

Thanks, sort of guessed that. I hunt near North Fork of the Red River at times and no hogs along it since it is dry. South Canadian is dry too, no water, no hogs and I want some sausage.

There are hogs on the South Canadian as recently as 2 weeks ago. Its an agreement with a couple landowners that I stay out of there place from mid September, through Turkey season. Its ok by me. These hogs that were taken last night only water source in the vicinity is a windmill/stock tank that is running over. Last I heard the North Canadian was dry above Canton Lake as well.

I should have said South Canadian at I 40 and past I 44. Thanks for the report, appreciate it.

That has to be close to where we killed one several years ago Chris. It was just east of 86 highway and south of 51 a mile. That was the first and only one I have seen out in that area and we killed it. They are going to be everywhere before long.

imhntn-You talkin about Gene's place?
No but I did have Gene's leased for many years. I never saw a hog or any sign of them on Gene's. This was north of Gene's several miles. I always figured it was just a matter of time till they showed up on Gene's though since it is right on the river. I have killed several hogs east of there on the river closer to Perkins.

Went across 105 South of Perkins this morning. West of the 177/105 junction about 4 or 5 miles West on South side of road was a big one with about a dozen 40-50 lbers. Was past them when I saw them or would have slowed down more.
All looked solid Black.

North Fork is still trickling sir. I cant vouch for Elk Creek, but there's plenty enough water out here to support a bunch of damn hogs.
I wish dry weather could wipe them out.

Only possible solution to feral hogs = outlaw hunting them and hire federal shooters to helicopter hunt them. Not a popular solution I know, but its the only thing that MIGHT work. Its kept them out of Kansas and Nebraska so far.

UNLESS we can find an aerial drop toxicant that will work effectively on hogs and not kill everything else that touches it. Trust me, its being worked on! No success yet.
