Lots of info here and we all have an opinion. I am a little older. I am 65, married 4 times, last one was 8yrs ago to Wifey, who was my HS sweetheart that I had not seen in 30 years. (It sometimes takes a while to grow up and decide what you really want in life) We talked mostly about where we were in life at the time we got back together and what we wanted for the rest of our lives, not who we had slept with in the past or why it did not work out. That was in the past, so what? Although, it is something to pay attention to the items mentioned. There are always two sided to every story. Later, we had no surprises and it works well for us.

If you are looking for long term, just let it flow. Concentrate on checking her out just as she is checking you out, and just have fun. You do not have to promote the conversation, but if you dance around it with out mentioning at a time you could have, she will notice that also. Not a good way to build a long term trust.

I might get some flack here, but basically dating/living with someone a year or so before tying the knot gives time to access the situation better than having a few hot dates and possibly making a mistake. Sometimes it works out and sometimes not. It takes both people going above and beyond to make it work long term. It takes a while to find out if you and they are that type of person for the one you are with.

Things always work out, usually not the way you expect, but they do work out. After a while, bring up this thread for her to read. If she gets a good laugh, consider keeping her around, if not, do some thinking. There is no substitute for life's experiences, but some of them are painful. Good luck to you.

Get stinking drunk on your first date and cry all night long about the one that got away and how you will never love another woman like you loved her.

I cant believe no one here has given you this sure fire way to a womans heart. ;)

There is no option for "Depends" so I didn't vote.

If it comes up talk about it, if it doesn't, don't. Girls who talk about dating history before or on the 2nd date are probably not what you want in a wife anyway. Classy girls will obviously want to know but not right away, they should be more focused on the task at hand, getting in your pants. Back to being serious. If it hasn't somehow come up with the first 3-4 months, then broach the subject.

I'd be in no hurry to lay it out there, don't feel obligated, but it's definitely something you should bring up before applying for your next marriage certificate.

How long did you date previous GF before making her the wifey? My wife and I dated for 3 years and lived together for 1 before getting married. No one can hide who they really are for that long and all day long. With the way America is today, I'd rather make her wait and be really sure than go through divorce. You got lucky to get out early, divorce is really expensive compared to a shovel and a bag of lye.
