folks, i am aware of all this.
Then why did your OP contain this?
"I've been reading and watching interviews with dianne feinstein. She was on the commitee that authored the last AWB.They want to add more guns this time and not have a grandfather clause, instead, have the violating guns turned in."

That is NOT what she has been saying she would introduce as legislation.

We wouldn't want to spread false information would we?

I have had conversations with gun carrying 2A supporters that are questioning our having these weapons and even just having semi-auto's in general.

You realize by definition, any gun with out a "go-switch" is semi-auto. Bolt actions are semi-auto, auto loading shot guns are semi-auto, even muskets are semi-auto. That argument doesn't hold water.

I dont think anyone is using that type of definition. If the gun chambers the next round its semi auto. I think most know that. The terms 'assault rifle' 'machine gun' etc. Are where I see more debate.

Will a Ruger Mini-14 be considered an assault rifle if the ban becomes law? And if I did own one that was off the books will I be expected to claim or report it on my income tax return?

If you didnt fill out 4473 it doesnt exist...

Even if he did fill out a 4473 the Govt wouldnt know about it, the 4473 stays with the dealers and is not turned into the NCIS. NCIS only knows if you are buying a handgun, long gun or other. they dont know the make or model or serial number of the weapon unless the dealer has went out of business and their 4473 forms have been turned into the ATF.

The high cap mags is probably going to be included in any bill they send. I don't like it, its stupid, everybody will just have 4x 10 round mags for their AR's rather than 2x 20 round mags, but thats the way it is sounding. If so, I can live with it, we all survivede during the last one, just had to pay outrageous prices for high cap mags. What I'm more concerned about is the gun show ban, or having to register person to person sales. I have no idea how they would actually implement the person to person sales, but it would just kill some gun shows. And honestly, I hardly every buy anything, but walking around with my dad and brothers just looking at Wannemakers is one of my favorite things, not to mention killing your local gun store who uses the show to reach tons of people that might not know about them.
