Har Har. Oh I've seen the show. That guy could be the role model for /r/seduction. Not even kidding. He's scary charismatic.

Totally a fan.

Yul looked pretty badly eaten up with cancer in Futureworld. Just a shadow of himself from Westworld. No. I meant to indulge me in something else not pertaining to this thread. I had to try a copy and paste to see if it would come over from HTML. It is totally irrelevant, but I may or may not post it. I know I'm missing out, but the nearest liquor store is 20 miles away. I will be here for the fun, though.

Perversion perhaps, but why should polygamy be illegal?

What evil consequences will occur if we open that door?

Hmm...id say we do like we did with slavery. First end slavery, then deal with segregation and lastly racism. So first we settle gay rights, then move forward on the polygamy issue.

I think polygamy will be like the westburrow bunch and snake handleing religions...kinda weird n cult like but still have rights. There will be so few of them we just kinda marginalize them or ignore them.

I didn't say it should be illegal. But yet it is. Equal rights for all, means just that, all. People like to pick and chose their latest most trendy controversy. The same should be for marrying your brother/sister too. Marriage for any consenting adult right? Equal rights for all.

Im surprise so many of you are for this I guess. Props to those few who have stood up in this thread for they think is right.

My 2 cents is that as a Christian a sin is a sin. It doesn't matter if it is sex outside of marriage, lust, stealing or whatever. I don't look at gay people any different than I look at any other sinner, or how I look at my own sins. I do not hate them or dislike them any more than I hate a friend who lives with his girlfriend. Being considered a bigot by people just because you disagree with the sins someone commits is asinine.

As far as gay marriage is concerned, besides the fact that I think it is wrong, I understand how the government can rule the way it has. But I think it has opened the door for other perversions to have their definition of marriage sponsored by the government. What about polygamy? How can any of you who argue this is ok, not argue the same way with polygamy? Its very similar and eventually someone will challenge it in court. If the state can not ban gay marriage based on discrimination how can it ban polygamy? Also what about if someone wanted to marry their brother/sister? Still both consenting adults, which is the argument many make regarding gay marriage? These rulings open the door for both of these perversions. Eventually, someone will challenge these laws in court and use the recent rulings. I hope no ones story changes then.

What's wrong with consensual polygamy? What's wrong with siblings wanting to marry each other, especially non-blood siblings?

My two cents as a Christian is that it is not the government's place to enforce religious teachings as law. A government that enforces Christian teachings is no different than a government that enforces Islamic teachings (other than the base religion, of course). The notion that government should enforce religious teachings goes against the very foundations that make this country great.

I never said there is anything wrong with, outside of someones own personal moral beliefs. Simply that it is also currently illegal in most states. But no one is in an uproar over that is all I was pointing out. I should be able to marry 8 more wives and claim them all as dependents for tax purposes as well as have them on my insurance. Oh and all of us should be able to receive the tax discount other married people receive. Oh and when I die they all should receive equal social security benefits. Equal rights for all.
