I have one of these and it has been fine for me. I don't spend $$$ for knives but have some very good ones. This is sturdy, solid, holds an edge and sharpens easily and it's very inexpensive. They have other blade styles.

not that I'm condoning ordering a clone, but if you must. be sure to find a seller that specifies that the blade is made from D2 and that actual weight of 146 grams for Halo V is specified.

when I found mine on craigslist, the seller had two clones. one he paid $125, the second one $50. the one I chose felt correct weight wise and action came out strongly like it's suppose to. in other words the $125 one was junk .. whereas the $50 clone turned out to be dead on.

I would never carry a knock off knife. To me, it's a matter of principle. A fake Rolex may keep as good time as a real one, but it's still a fake Rolex. It's just money. We're not going to take it with us.

fake Rolex good enough to fool pro's are routinely sold as real ones vs most Microtech clones are sold as clones, which is not to say someone could not pass it off as real. the ripoff is to the original mfg like Microtech.

what's amazing is the degree of precision/performance clone mfg's have managed to achieve at $50 price point.

I've never carried my clone, but do EDC my real Microtech. my buying a clone purely out of curiosity in no way will affect my buying a real microtech or not.

IMHO someone in the market to buy a $50 knife will NOT be the same person in the market for say a $500 knife. that said I just purchased a clone
