I got drawn a few years back. Canton was pretty good back then. Missed a buck (long shot, buck moving) and passed on a spike. Saw several does that were shootable but I had no tag. BIL saw a ginormous hog too. He didn't shoot it because he was scared of wounding that big bastard and having it charge, plus there was no way we could drag it out from where it was. Wardens said "you can leave them lay if you want, but shoot all you can!"
It's a great place to hunt.
I drew a few yrs back hunting so so don't be fooled by all the open fields hunt the thick cover that's where they are ! I believe they still do a drawing after you check in for the hunt it is for the duck refuge if you get drawn for that BIG DEER and lots of them!Have any OSA members participated in this one? I saw that mentioned in the letter that I received, but it specified 4 man entries. I'm in solo, but it would be nice.
