And perhaps not so obviously, they make money from the interchange fees (big time!) with debit cards too. But since you did your research you know that already. However, they don't make a cent LENDING me money every month on the CC.

So, please try again.
Nope, not gonna argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Wanna enlighten me?
Better do your research first because I think you've been told some incorrect info about debt cards.
The problem with a debit card fraud is the money is immediately taken out of your account and you cannot use nor have access to it if needed until the dispute is resolved, which could take a week or longer.

You have no financial impact when fraud is committed on a credit card. The money doesn't come out of your pocket like a debit card, whether it's temporary or not.

That is true, and a reason I dont keep all my eggs in one basket.
Thanks for the intelligent response.

ETA, generally when your account is breached, they will make a small purchase first, I guess to test the waters. I had my card breached once after using it at Lowes. Next day I got a call from VISA asking about a $250 charge (dont remember where but it was off the wall) and I said no. So it was caught quick and my money replaced by VISA.
