I'm guessing it's a meteor. Seriously.

They're usually perfectly round, with a small nipple or nub on the back side, where it's shielded a bit from the friction of the atmosphere during entry (that one may be broken off, leaving the rough spot). They're often a combination of iron and nickel, but they can rust on the surface.

I found one as a kid, and googled them a few years ago.

My thinking exactly. Those dogs will eat anything. Wasn't there a story recently about this dig that was stealing and eating a bunch of baby pacifiers? Something like 25-27 of them? I sure wouldn't put it past one to eat a meteor.

This is definitely going to be the story I tell lol. Maybe I’ll get my blacksmith friend to make it into a knife.

I trained my dogs to eat only good food.
I had one incident where my dog chased a small young bird and scooped it up in it's mouth and I hollered at the dog
DON'T EAT IT ...IT'S YUK dog quickly spit it out and looked at me and looked at the bird on the ground.
Picking up the poop in the yard with a shovel when the dog is young and telling the dog it is YUK as it sniffs what you are doing.

I had to teach that dog to slowly chew things also. she was a Fila Mastiff.
Very smart dog. But I worked with her like a child as I did all my dogs.

My dogs never ate odd things.
The Fila was also trained to tear up cardboard boxes into small pieces to fit better in the trash can.
She would not tear one up unless you told her to do it..I could have the boxes all over the yard but she would not touch one unless given permission.

Raise your hands above your head and she would sit down.
That was my way to train large dogs..as we had lots of small children in our home and when a child gets scared as a big dog is walking towards them they react by raising their arms into the air.
Then the dog would sit..
NO JUMPING allowed.

Dogs are fun.. but I hate to have one die on me. Worse than a person dying sometimes.

lol I was tempted to keep it, but there's already such a slim chance of these people paying their bill that i didn't want to give them any extra excuses.

Already asking "how long they have to pay it off," and if there was any way that this was their neighbor trying to kill their dog...

I effing hate people lol
