I assume you support all the other illegal drugs then?
To some extent, yes. The only catch is that thin line "does no harm to others". As long as what I put in my body causes no harm to others, I see no point in the government stepping in to control my use of it. However, there are plenty of drugs that have a higher probability to make the user cause harm to others, or can cause serious harm to themselves. The funny thing is that alcohol is about hair's thickness shy of falling under that listing. The only thing that saves it is a majority of people can drink responsibly. Other drugs can cause this problem with just one use. Those that fall under this listing should be regulated/banned.

Like I said, if what I decide to put into my body harms no one else, nor has a high risk of causing me to harm someone else, then I should be allowed to do it.

Yes, especially for the for-profit prison industry which, coincidentally, exploded after the "war on drugs" was put into action....

and not digging on ya CHenry, my sarcasm detector is working fine :D
I was laying it on pretty thich so as to not be missed lol.
OK has already reduced simple drug possession to a misdemeanor/small fine which is a huge step in the right direction.
You spoke earlier of the cost associated with arresting those with small amounts but you didnt list the main ones. Incarcerating 1 man for 12 months in OK cost tax payers $22k. If this is a female, her hids are tossed into the foster care system and coincidentally are 10 times more likely to be criminals themselves after growing up with a parent in prison. This adds up to tens of billions a year when you look at the shear numbers of non violent people we are locking up. OK is now number 1 for incarcerating its citizens and turning good ordinary non violets pot smokers into felons and destroying their lives. For this reason alone I want to decriminalize ALL drugs and spend a fraction of that money on rehab. Other countries have done this recently with outstanding results. Google "Portugal drug abuse".
Thats number 1 IN THE WORLD. Can you imagine OK locks up more of its people than China and Russia combined? Well, we do. Be proud Okies,

Maybe Okies should just stop breaking the law?

Can we somehow work that into the next license plate instead of that unrecognizable scissor-tail flycatcher? "Oklahoma, we'll imprison your ass", would be way better than, "Oklahoma is OK."
