**WARNING** DUMB IDEA ALERT **WARNING**
Ok, I know its a dumb idea but I'm throwing it out there.
I love everything about my Kershaw Blur with the tanto blade. I love the mechanism, the grip, the feel in hand, how it carries...for real...its my favorite. Its not the most expensive knife I have, or the fanciest...but it just WORKS for me.
I JUUUUST wish it had a Damascus blade. If it were available with a tanto Damascus blade...perfection to me.
Anybody ever tried to make a blade from a blank to work in a factory pocket knife? I'm no metal worker so its beyond my capability, but is this something a guy could possibly get a knife maker to tackle at a reasonable price? I'm thinking if a blade maker were up to it, I could provide a new donor knife to use the mechanism/body from and then they could use the blade as a template to make a new blade.
Is this just the dumbest idea yall have heard from me yet...or something worth pursuing?
