Is the bag permanent or temporary?

Had a friend that had a colon section removed, and they put him on a bag for a few months while stuff was healing.
I'd like to think it's temporary based on some things the Dr said but I think reality is it's permanent but so far it's not an issue really. It's going to require me to make more trips to the restroom as it's smaller than a colon so won't hold as much. But all that's gross and we don't wanna talk about it probably.

Soreness is your friend. It means you're firing off muscles that need to strengthen. When you rehab, it hurts, or you have soreness. This should continue to a point that they add more and more with the same soreness. It gets better and when it's over it's up to you to keep fit.
I'll bet that won't be a problem with you, maybe overdoing it, but not the activity part.
Keep us up on progress.
Be well

I'm talking about the soreness in the area of the surgery. They cut through several layers of muscle to open me and that needs to mend without too much interuption. They told me there is good pain (as you speak of) and bad.

Dig in buddy. As soon as you can, I'll pick you up and take you to shoot. Got a neat 22 with a red dot that won't cause any recoil so should keep your stitches in place. Plus, it fun as hell to shoot.

Lol my strength is so poor, if I could hold a pistol steady enough to shoot a 12" group at 15' I'd be surprised
