The brilliance of this gun is that people who shoot 9mm can honestly say they carry a 45. ;)
Hey, some of us already "can" ... :drunk2:

Dunno if you could because everyone seems to love their particular Gen. Glock needs to get on the ball and release a gun that has panels or something of the like so it can make everyone happy.

Seems like it'd be easy to do, finger grooves, no finger groves..... RTF... no RTF or Gen 5 texture or whatever that is. Or just build a truly modular design and see the grip modules for ~$40. They'd sell like hotcakes....... IMO.

Why would they do that? Right now, if you want something different, you buy a whole new gun from the factory. Make it modular, put grip panels on it, and you can buy much cheaper parts instead of a whole gun, and anybody can make them.

What's the advantage to Glock, Inc.?

Return of lost market share? Kinda of hard to say they haven't lost a significant portion.

I just wish they could settle on an actual generation.

You can currently buy gen4, gen5, 19x, and gen5+ (this new one).

You forgot Gen 3. They still sell some models in 3. I had a 17L brought in last year. BNIB and new manufacture, not one that was sitting in a warehouse for years. I think the .45GAP is still G3 too.
