ODWC waterfowl survey

They are finally talking about the split and whether to move it or get rid of it completely. I chose to get rid of it and move the opening back because that seems to be when birds move in.
Anyone else get the email with the survey​

I got it and am requesting removal of the split altogether as well. First 2 weeks of the season generally suck in my area to the point I don't bother.

The questions surround waterfowl season being open during deer gun season might not kill the split completely. I know plenty of people that hate having duck hunters out while they're deer hunting. I don't mind. If anything, it can help if you play off it.

I’ve watched deer while the duck hunters are banging away on the next section. They never even flinch.

I received the email and I also voted to remove the split while moving opening day back.

Lots of questions about zone boundaries, too. Not much of an opinion there.

I received the email as well, and voted the same, kill the split and move the opener back. I also put in my comments that by doing this would also allow them to move the youth days back giving the youth a better chance at actually seeing some birds.

some of the i hunt are right on the border of zone 1 and zone 2 so we have to pay attention to dates so i voted to remove the zones also but that's just because I'm lazy and don't want to get ticket on accident.

I've had deer within 40 yards of my duck blind several times. I've heard many complaints from rifle hunters though. Meh.
