Man, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. Who would of thought predator hunting is the cats meow! Pun intended. I’ve seen 2 more cats one looked twice as big as the one I shot. The 2 came in together, one in the lead about 30 yards, walked up to my foxpro, I had some brush in front of me and couldn’t get to a clean shot before they moved. I kind of wish I shot through the brush but another part of me says I made the right move. I’ve been spending most of my free time looking for these dogs and cats. My wife made a comment the other day about how happy she is that Jan 15 is almost here, I guess she still thinks I’m just hunting deer, wait till she finds out im hunting yotes year round....lol.

I’ve been anti-cat all my life, but in June, my wife let my daughter get a couple after we moved into our barn apartment to be “mousers”. I had very little faith they would ever catch a single mouse, but I was definitely wrong. So far, they’ve caught over a dozen that I know of (2 last week). I’m very protective of the cats now, because I absolutely hate mice.

I’ve killed a few bobcats with the intention of getting one mounted, but I never have. Honestly, I haven’t found a taxidermist that can do life like eyes on one. If I’m going to spend the money, I don’t want it to have “deer in the headlights” eyes.:anyone:

Anti-cat here, and even more so now. Started my truck the other day and there was one in under the hood. Snapped a fan blade off, fortunately it didn't go through the radiator and intercooler. Still $100 bucks for a new fan and going to take half a day to remove a hundred parts and pieces to get the old one off. Vibrates the entire truck when the fan clutch kicks on.

Ouch. Had 1 do that in an older truck with metal fan.... you know what that did. Another in the first truck I had with a plastic fan, it killed the cat but it could have had an open casket service.

That will destroy water pump bearings faster than ya think.

I'd replace it immediately, if not sooner. :drunk2:

No cats for me either. I did the same as you, but no broken parts. Just carnage to clean.
