Didn't take long for the ignorant "if you oppose Trump you're a lib" response LMFAO.

Dan Crenshaw, former Navy Seal turned Congressman, and darling of the Right, is against the move as well. Guess that makes him full of liberal B.S. and ignorant too.

Another huge lib, retired General, former head of CENTCOM and Special Operations Command disagrees as well.

What is funny is the number of Democrats taking the hawk position here. They've blasted U.S. involvement over the years and now all of a sudden they are all about standing by our allies....because it's convenient. It's also funny to see the numbers of Republicans and so-called conservatives who slammed Obama for pulling out of Iraq trying to defend Trump on this one.

Few have any integrity of argument...they just knee jerk in support of whichever camp they are in.

I'm amazed, though not really surprised anymore, that the "BS" in this thread isn't the killing of our allies.

What an upside down world we live in. We have a Republican draft dodger making unilateral military moves that is killing our allies, and it's the Democrats who are on the side of more military intervention. 10 years ago no one would have believed you if you had predicted this.

And, aside from one comment i know i made, most of the sarcasm was derived right from Trump's own tweets or comments. I guess at least it can't immediately be called fake news this time.

Donner, if you defy the Donald you are to be cast aside as a lib. It's the Cancel Culture tactic that snowflakes on the right often accuse the left of doing, but frequently employ themselves.

I myself, supported Obama's pullout from Iraq under the construct put in place by Bush. Lacking a strong status of forces agreement with the Iraqi government it was the smartest thing to do at the time. Hindsight shows how that pullout aided the rise of ISIS.

Our small, special operations-centric presence in Syria, and elsewhere, is a far better example of how to wage war and steer things towards our national objectives in that environment. Small, deadly, effective. It's how we started the war in Afghanistan and how we should've kept it....abandoning some elements of the Kurdish forces and ceding territory to Erdogan and Russia in the name of "bringing the troops home" is going to have consequences for the future. It also gives more power to China in the region.
