Years ago tv commercials showed a Native American shedding tears because of littering. Now, they only shed tears over losing money not destruction of the land. Also in the preamble of the EPA. That gov agency had zero ability to regulate environmental issues on sovereign Native American lands.
As an example back in May with our floods in Osage county, a tank battery on the neighbor was flooded with thousands of gallons of crude spilled on our property adjacent to our water well because of zero containment and improper installation of the tanks that I documented with pics on this forum, our water well was contaminated. Here it is in January and we are still living with gallons of water bought from the store or refilled at friends homes.
We have zero recourse against the tribe. I could go on for hours about what the issues were and the responses we got from the tribe
To date, the tank battery was quickly repaired and huge clumps of crude oil continue to exist on our property. The .gov and the tribe has washed their hands of this issue, and here we are.
We have been told the crude will dissolve back into the earth.
HMMMMM MY water well is only 15’ deep. How long before all the hydro carbons leach out of the soil?
