I quit when Cope and Skoal reached a dollar.
Friend of mine did the Copenhagen. He would open the can and let it dry out. Then he would add "flavoring" he called it. Usally a jigger of whiskey. He would chew that most of the day and another at night before bed.
I tried Swedish Snus for a while when it first got popular in the US. Very strong nic buzz, no spitting, eventually you'll get hiccups. The Europeans figured out a way to do it much cleaner than the US method that leaves dark spittle all over the ground or in random cups.

Had some Copenhagen in my mouth one time.
Backed up to a trailer loaded with 2” cement lined pipe at the house with my cousin hitching it up….I thought.
Had one beer before leaving.
Going across a dip in the road, the unlatched trailer came off the ball and snapped the lousy safety chain. Borrowed trailer.
The trailer and load veered into the opposite lane hitting a vehicle right behind the front door, almost tearing it in half.
The 80 something lady driving was about to have a heart attack afterward.
I figured it was going to be jail time with beer on my breath waiting on LEO to arrive.
Cousin said to roll a little Copenhagen between the cheek and gum(borrowed that from an old commercial) as it would hide the beer breath.
I did but good grief I got an unbelievable buzz while sitting in the cop car. Got a ticket for unsecured load.
Couldn’t believe how powerful that stuff was. Never had a desire to try it again.

Me either, I tried it once and decided it's not for me. Got pretty nautious and wanted to puke, like the time I tried an aging room M356 cigar and did toss my cookies.
I had an ex girlfriend that dipped many years ago, and my great grandma knight dipped Levi Garrett until she passed away at 89.
Personally, I can’t stand to be around someone that chews. Their breath is totally objectionable.

Closest I ever got to chewing tobacco was Big League Chew (shredded chewing gum that came in a pouch) and shredded beef jerky that came in a plastic "can" that looked like a Copenhagen can.

I was surrounded by it growing up, always though it was nasty. Never wanted to try it. Seeing people when I was young, dying slowly from mouth, throat, bladder, and lung cancer was more than enough for me to never try most forms of tobacco. Briefly liked cigars, then I craved one, so I stopped.
