I have picked wild ones right by lock 16 as you make the last turn to the lock.
I have also found them at Love Valley.

Found wild strawberries in Tecumseh.
Or maybe Indian mock strawberries.
They were good.

I have something that grows in my yard that looks like grapes but I was told it’s something poisonous. Have to post a picture. I do have a Native American recipe for a desert with wild grapes.

Made 5.5 gallons of juice last night from this harvest. Still more to pick.
My wife is drooling at the thought. She likes them made into juice, jelly or wine. There is a vineyard in Carolina (can not remember N or S) that makes wine with them.

You could grow your own. Most of these didn't get any water this summer in the drought.
