And MORE hits just KEEP ON COMING!!!!!

Went back to work this morning after replacing one of the servers in the work van. After about 4 hours to get 2 hours of work done, one of the front cameras is giving us problems and preventing us from completing the surveying records. Now, we get to drive the van up to the office and let the tech guys figure out what is wrong.

Fortunately, we are only about 4 hours away, so it won't take long to get back to the office. The question will be that because it is Friday tomorrow, will the techs get serious about fixing the problem.

I'm thinking this van is jinxed. We've had more problems with it than any of the others we have driven over the last four summers.

@retrieverman - had a low of 59.6 here in northern Enid this morning, and it's warmed up to 61.4 so far. Barely sprinkled off and on all morning.
Yeah, yeah, rub it in why don’t you. :censored:
You do realize I have cameras that keep me pretty much up to date on weather and temperatures. The Salt Fork low this morning was 55 on all the cameras, and the high on them was 61. Forecast shows it’s going to be back into the 90’s tomorrow and high 80’s for opening day of archery season. I just love sweating and swatting mosquitoes in a deer stand, but it beats the heck out of working.:anyone:

It was between 50-55°F this morning in Guymon. I don’t remember what the high was today but it was Cloudy all day long… nice and cool. Almost felt like fall for a while. Maybe 70°? I don’t remember.

Supposed to be back into the 90’s tomorrow though.

We drove back to the Tulsa area yesterday morning to have the work van checked out. The tech guys got right on it and started checking different computer settings and such. Then, they told us to just chill a bit as they were going to go out and test it.

They came back a bit later and said, "Well, we REALLY broke it." Apparently, they have some problems with some new system boards that caused some problems. Our first thought was, "Oh, GREAT. Now we get to set for a few days while things get fixed."

Instead, they assigned us another van that had been being used to do Texas roads and that team finished their area. (They started much earlier than we did.) So, this morning, we get to go do certification runs with the new (to us) van and then start getting some work done.

Crossing our fingers that this one works well. The wife thinks we might still have 3 1/2 weeks yet to finish our work, and that pushes us right up against my appointment for my next eye injection treatment. With luck, we can finish before the appointment so that we don't have to make a special trip back just for that.

And hopefully, the work being done on our RV home will be done by then as well, and we can move back into home.

So y’all live in an RV?
A couple I went to high school with sold their house a few years ago and started living in an RV. They both have full time jobs so aren’t really “mobile”, but they live in a local RV park and travel on weekends. That life style is intriguing to me, but I’m too attached to all my “stuff” that I would have to get rid of to downsize.

Bought this RV in 2010 and moved into it in 2011. Lived in it in the OKC area for 3 years until we retired in 2014 and moved to Colorado to be near the wife's sisters. We were in the Colorado Springs area for 20 months before moving to SW Oregon to be volunteer "managers" of a retreat and reunion center near Grants Pass. Lived there for 17 months before moving to SW Utah to be volunteer camp hosts in a small RV park.

Back to Oklahoma in 2018 because our youngest son needed a surgery and someone to be around while he recuperated. Been back in Oklahoma now since then, but our traveling now involves driving somewhere in our Ford Expedition Max and staying in hotels or VRBO type lodgings.

To be honest, getting rid of "stuff" was actually liberating, especially getting rid of lawn maintenance equipment.
