Just bitching about younger folks while younger folks ***** about older folks. Millennials are now in their late 30s BTW. Gen Z is the new youngster crowd to bash on.
Nah ... Every Gen Z-er I work with is buttoned up right. Every millennial is a ****ing hot mess -- whine, whine, whine, *****, *****, *****. It's ridiculous. Lol

The world has become more tolerant of those who choose to suck off of their parents and government. My girlfriend is a realtor. She got a call today from a lady who wants to rent a house and qualifies for section 8 housing benefits of $3100 per month. I’ve never lived in a house that cost $3100 a month to rent have you? No telling how many kids by how many men this welfare queen has. Young people think a student loan should be forgiven for their 5 year degree in gender studies and the list goes on. Of course the old farts back in our day thought we wouldn’t t amount to anything either ….

Damn!! I LIVE on less than $3100 and still have money left over! And yep, you are right about that. My folks never missed an opportunity to tell me what a failure I was (because I didn't take the path they wanted -- which meant they would have NEVER lost control of my life. I was always intended to be the indentured servant).

Well, it's also fair to point out that most of our GWOT veterans are millennials, and a few of them even performed acts of valor that were deemed worthy of the Medal of Honor.

In my previous job, I saw some whiny, entitled, spoiled rotten millennials, but I also saw some outstanding young men and women in the same age bracket. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure most of my current coworkers are millennials, and there's not a slacker in the bunch.

I'm pretty sure @turkeyrun has a different view than I do, though. :bolt:

You know, that is the bottom line -- I honestly think there is a bracket of good, decent folks in every bracket. It's the whiners that get all the attention. (But honest to God, the store just got finished firing 2 millenials, both pushing 40 -- neither of them had a car, both renting and in debt to their eyeballs. Credit cards. Never missed a chance to stand in front of the lottery machine and pump money into it. Spent more time causing trouble and bitching than they did working. Everything was always someone else's fault. They both drove me NUTS.

They were replaced by a couple of kids in their 20s. Family kids, both of them. Hard workers, honest. Don't have much but are working to change that. Both of them are fantastic co-workers and I dare say friends now. I don't hesitate to help either one of them out every chance I get. I LOVE working with them. When we leave at night you can tell people have been doing their job -- not like the 2 they just let go.

No matter the topic, the easy answer is always to throw dirt on a group; cops, lawyers, preachers, teachers, old folks, liberals, lgbtq or whatever, men, women, etc. No single group is full of bad folks, just the few that give the group the bad press.

I have known, worked with, associate with pretty much every “group” individuals I can think of, and have encountered a few of those “bad apples”, but the vast majority of people I’ve known have been good folks. We may not have agreed on everything but overall I’m glad I’ve known them.

I try to look at individuals not what group I might try to put them in.
