Beautiful Gibson Kingfish!

I didn't get much, because my fam doesn't really "do" Christmas like most folks. We get together and eat and usually play dirty Santa but with nice gifts ($25 value/limit).

This year, I won $25 cash. Myself, Mrs. GED and my youngest daughter who still lives with us, usually do a little something-something on Christmas morning. This year I got a $25 Amazon gift card and a 40oz Stanley insulated mug from DJ. and Mrs. GED gave me a C note, with strict directions NOT to spend it on gun related things.

We'll see... :rubhands:

Wife and I agreed that we wouldn't buy each other anything for Christmas this year and told the kids not to buy for us either. We don't need anything, so do not waste money on us. Christmas came, all good then I walk out to shop this morning and find this in front.View attachment 332706
Apparently she's not happy with me splitting wood by hand. She explained I leave some of the pieces to big and there to hard for her to handle. So she bought the splitter so I could make them smaller with less work. Don't know whether to be happy or mad cause she's trying to tell me how to do it.
You’re going to get spoiled very quickly. I split by hand for many years. Got a County Line splitter a few years, and I use it all the time.

100% agree. I split by hand most of my younger years. I learned to weld at around 40 and my first project was a wood splitter. Sourced all the bits and pieces from the junkyard and a well digger's lot. That thing has split more wood than I ever did by hand in the years before. And my logs are 28-30" long, like i like em! No more puny little 12-18s!

My wife and I put a $100 limit on our gifts this year since we basically bought our camper as a mutual early Christmas gift (although it did come from selling MY Mustang, but I'm ok with it. 😁). I got her a few pieces of inexpensive jewelry that she liked and she got me a tshirt and a 4 slot watch box. It was a pretty good Christmas for us. One of the best things about this year's Christmas is that my cheesecake that I made turned out EXCELLENT. 😁
