I haven’t had a sip of alcohol since 2011! Been sober from that and drugs since then! Felt so good going into town with my wife yesterday afternoon and then going back home to enjoy the evening. I was thinking back on my addict days and it made me depressed. Horrible times. But I’d did drink some root beer. Lol

My manuals were purchased through the years and a I try to match the powder, primer and manuals. Todays manuals are definitely not as hot as the older manuals recommendations.
HA this was a hangover thread but on your question.

Work up do not start at max loads.
Old powder and new powder and powders with different lot numbers will not burn the same.
Many manuals have what firearm was used and others just have what barrel and twist rate and length.

That is one big reason why different manuals may have different start and max loads.
