But I agree with you, most likely, they didn't want to have a collison and escalate, but they wanted to harass as is common procedure for many nations.

Getting into a war with the second largest nuclear power isn't in their best interest...they are absolutely concerned with escalation and we should be too. They aren't Osama Bin Laden...they have had diplomatic relations with the west for decades after the fall of the communist and the USSR. They didn't just wake up one day and decide to be in a jihad with the west...there is a LOT that led up to this and our leaders should be working towards a peaceful solution. Helping the crime family's corrupt and authoritarian allies isn't helping your best interests. Warmongering seems to be a brain disease similar to CTE. If people want death that bad then why don't they just go jump off a cliff instead of trying to take millions of innocent people with them, same as Jim Jones. Not saying you are, but just how many people circle the wagons for whatever sleepy Joe wants, yet they claim to politically oppose him.

President Biden had ordered all US war ships to leave the Black Sea at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine so as not to antagonize Russia.

Because of that move, Russia has now reached the site of our downed 'Reaper' Drone and is attempting salvage of our classified aircraft, while the United States sits on it's hands hoping, HOPING, that Russia doesn't get hold of our technology.

So, you’re saying we should just take Ukraine’s and Russia’s word for what’s happening and not fly our own reconnaissance to see what’s really happening?

I think I was coming from the angle of the greater point of the post, that if they were in our hemisphere with their drones miles from our border that we would think/do, and that I don't think our Navy should be in the Black Sea anymore than their Navy should be in the Gulf of Mexico. I probably didn't need to quote you but I was bouncing off your post to make a greater point.
