Probably 10 years ago, I bought a new old stock Para frame from a member here. I spent a year or so gathering parts to build it, then several months taking my time to build it. Lots of filing, polishing, fitting, filing, polishing…until I got it all correct. Wouldn’t you know it, it took a while to locate a rear sight for the Para slide.
After it was all done, I shot it just to function test it but never spent a lot of time with it. Fast forward to yesterday and I decided to give it a thorough testing. I have to say, I am very pleased with my first 1911 build.
Plus it is a high cap frame.
