We have Anderson windows floor to ceiling all over the house. It's like we live in a bubble with no curtains as we are out in the sticks, but yes, we basically hear nothing outside on storms unless it's close. Helps that the house is super insulated as well with 2X6 walls and 2X12 ceiling joices.
Constantly getting those click bait things on the search engines saying Oklahoma will pay for all installation which is BS.
Grandson works for Tesla that installs solar roofs all over the DFW area. He says the price people pay will never be recovered but it's the woke companies, homes putting them in so they can thump their chests.

As noted previously, the ROI is not there. You OWN your home, why go in debt. Shop around for a cash price, save the funds an buy them outright.
Who Is to say the company will be around long enough to honor the warranty when a cell dies? I have know a few who sell solar in Texas and California and it is HIGH profit for them. They are able to sell and install for 2-4 times their cost. If you are paying $30k plus interest, the cost to the dealer is <$10K, probably closer to $7-$8K

Here is what I am looking at.
Added value to the home if I ever sell or my kids ever sell it.
A locked in electrical payment which is less than what I am paying now for electricity.
I am not looking for any ROI, I am looking at an investment and a zero dollar electric bill even if they buy back at wholesale.
I will be talking to my tax accountant today to see if we even qualify for the 30% tax credit and how much we would realize if we could take it.

Please explain your logic here. I have solar for over 5 years, not to your house scale.

Call Renewal by Anderson, Tell em I referred you, I'll get $150 and we can go have a beer and I'll buy lol
Seriously, it was a good decision and my windows were not even 5 years old but cheap Home depot windows. I could feel the north wind coming in my bedroom.
Now I can even hear it storming out unless some serious thunder.
The attic insulation, I'm told, OG&E will help subsidize that cost once they come look into your situation. In some cases up to 90% (I'm told). And I have no issue taking a utility companies money, I do with tax dollars.
What’s the ballpark cost for just the sliding door?

Do you have a new roof ?? If they say old roof no problem, they are CROOKS! Do you have the 10-20k to put on new roof? Friends bought solar panels, got divorced, sold house, had to deduct solar payment off price of house because they didn't want it and was inefficient. think "soylendra" Bought a house last month and the scammers
are pounding on the door everyday!
