I live in the country and about the only ones I see are the guys with just a bit of asphalt left over and they want to put it on my lane or the guys wanting to paint the steel roof on my shop.
Your right. How about "cookie solicitors welcome" or have some sort of "maximum height limits".
I have found that going to the door with a pistol on my hip slows them down a little. Here in Mustang, they also have to have a permit and I always ask to see it. I have even been known to follow them to make sure the police can find them.
You know...you could just run them off with loud music.
