Yes. These are not strays and the owners will want to get even if I shoot the dogs. There is a lot of traffic in and out of there at all hours. I want Law Enforcement on my side.

With this post , it should be understood ,Why JR is doing what he's doing.

Sad that an animal Has to die, because its Protectors don't do they're job.
Your doing the right thing JR, just be careful

I'm guessing a lone hyena wouldn't know how to fight alone without the rest of it's buddies.................I'll wager on the pit.

How did you manage to get out of that situation where the pit had its jaws around your neck? Gee whiz! Man, I hope I don't get the take down on the ridin lawn mower tomorrow! I'll sure try to get pics of it up to the final seconds, but if that baby tries to get his jaws around my neck I'm ramming that 2.5" barrel into some rib cage and I'm gonna be squeezing.

You don't pull away if a dog latches onto you. That's when most of the lacerations and punctures happen. If you push whatever part of you that's in his mouth further back and are really quick at delivering some serious pain, they a lot of times let go quickly enough that you don't get hurt too bad.

However, a lot of the time lacerations and punctures can be the least of your worries, as a well built pit can latch of to your arm with enough force to snap it in two. Again, I've seen it happen.

I raised Pits that looked like that and subjected them to all kinds of people and they loved all people.
I kept them in my own yard.
They were ADBA registered champion bloodline Colby, Witherspoon.

But as much as I loved those dogs if they got out and charged a person and the person killed it I would be highly apologetic to that person.

And would pray that nothing happened to that person.

I love the American pit bull terrier and wish all people would raise them correctly and contain them correctly ,, if they don't that just gives more fuel to the bad rap these dogs get.

I had a friend that had a pit mix.. it hated all his friends.. would not let people out of their vehicles. He kept it behind a 4 foot chain link fence which it could jump over easily.

Every time I went to his place the dog jumped the fence and pinned me in my vehicle until my buddy came out.

I started taking tender beef jerky out there. I would feed it to the dog when I arrived and sneak him a chunk when I left there.
Dog ate it the first time, after 4 times going out there the dog ran to my van door and sat down and waited for a treat wagging his tail.

I gave him some jerky and got out and walked to the door of the house and rang the bell.

He opened the door and asked how I got up there and I said I just walked.
He asked if I seen his dog.. Yep.
He went on to tell me that dog likes no one... I told him the dog likes me.

It was quite some time before I told him his dog likes jerky also.

That dog was kept away from all people except his kids and him and his wife.
That is where the problem begins.

I almost want to come out to your place and have a talk with the pit owners and tell them what bad name they are enforcing on the pit bull breed.
