This all sounded pretty good until I looked up that buche taco!!! Blech!! :-) But to each his own. The rest sounds great.

Hah!! I know more men that are excellent cooks that women (myself included). In fact, I can't think of a single woman right now that I know that cooks better than most of my male friends or myself.

I learned to fry bacon, over-easy eggs, and make buttered toast when I was around 10. That was always my "goto" meal if sweetie was sick when the kids were small.

Pretty much everything else I've learned has been in the last couple years after sweetie could no longer remember how to cook (before that, she did the grilling and everything).

So my cooking repertoire is pretty slim. It was mostly one-dish conglomerates in the slow cooker until she could no longer do dishes. Now it's mostly freezer-to-microwave (or conventional oven) stuff, usually involving paper plates... :drunk2:

I ALWAYS mix my rice and beans. I'll also pour a little salsa and queso on top. If I'm having fajitas I'll put some of that in the beans and rice too.

No doubt. I love to cook, both on the grill and in the kitchen. I've had seldom a complaint about anything I've made (seldom, not NEVER), and I don't think there're many who know me who question my masculinity. Not that I know of, anyways. lol

I once told folks on an RV forum that I couldn't even fry water...

...one of the ladies came back and said, "Terry, you don't fry water, you broil it."

I waited a couple of weeks and then replied, "That doesn't work either. I can't get it to brown on top."

But, I can do a VERY MEAN TV dinner.
