I haven’t kept up with all of the new changes. I seem to have heard that stores can now be open on Sunday. If so, are there any that are or are there other restrictions that keep that from happening?

I don’t believe that they can be open on Sunday. I believe it is part of the blue law system. Same with car stealerships, they can only be open one weekend day and 99% choose Saturday.

This is going from memory, so maybe I'm turned around a bit.

I think it was **AFTER** the Oklahoma wine/beer laws were "updated" or "modernized" (to allow stronger stuff at Walmart/grocery stores), the OKC newspaper had an article that mentioned: Oh by the way, there's a provision in the new law that after two (or maybe three) years, counties in Oklahoma could decide to allow liquor stores to be open on Sundays.
At the time, I mentioned this story to several other people and they hadn't heard anything about it before, either.

So it may happen one day, but I think in Oklahoma, liquor stores are still closed on Sundays.

Unbelievable that you can’t buy whisky on Sunday. How this isn’t a violation of the first amendment I’ll never understand.
interesting that you went with the first amendment. Not sure i can see why it'd be applicable per se, but am curious.

states have generally always has the right to control age/time/place/manner of booze sales. Not to say it's right, but it's probably more of a state issue than most things we rail against here.

But again, it's always been a popular way for states to virtue signal. glad to see it's finally starting to change

The first based on the fact that we all know the reason you can’t buy on Sunday is 100% based on religion otherwise Sunday would be no different than Tuesday.
