I know 'Google is your friend' but sometimes all the Google sites you can click on can lead to info overload and or false ratings......first hand recommendations mean more to me.

Up till the mornings got down in the 30's and low 40's I'd been going to the outdoor range 1 to 3 times a week and running 100 rounds each time through one of my three 1911's at the 25 yd. steel gongs.......indoor ranges don't do it for me because I'm not much of a paper puncher type of guy, I like the bang and clang of shooting steel.

I can keep my head, torso and feet warm but my hands have always gotten uncomfortably cold easily......I went to the range one morning this week with the temps in the high 30's with 100 rounds of ammo and left after shooting only half of them because my hands got to bothering me from the cold.

Anyway, I'm thinking that there probably isn't but is there such a thing as warm handgun shooting gloves that allow a person to grip the gun properly and still get a good "feel" of the trigger ?

Not sure if they still sell em, but Walmart used to carry a brand of gloves called 'Huntsman.' Sold in the sporting goods. It's been a few years since I bought some, and they were good enough I bought a couple pair. Available thin enough to bow/gun hunt for use, but both wind proof and waterproof. We even wear them fishing this time of year.

You'll be amazed how thin your gloves can comfortably be when wind and water can't get to your falanges.

Walmart should have their hunting clothing back in stock for the season. Since I don't work there any more, I don't know for sure if they are carrying Huntsman gloves this year but I can't see why they would drop the line.

If you wear those thin nitrile gloves underneath whatever gloves you buy, it helps insulate your hands and supposed to make a big difference.

Nitriles (and similar types) make my hands sweat like crazy. You might want to try them (XL or XXL) over thin cotton gloves.

Just a thought. :drunk2:

My hands sweat too. Sounds like a solid way to get trench fingers.
