Dennis most cops never use their side arm. Is your solution to get more kills from our civilian police force?

If it's in defense of their life and to not hit innocent bystanders, I absolutely think firearms training with proper grip and training under pressure should be a requirement. Not just go to a range, fire 50 rounds and be qualified for another year.
The fact that most cops never use their side arm is a good thing.

Saw this video yesterday on PoliceActivity on youtube. My first thought was she went straight to 100 MPH as soon as she made contact. She knew from the call earlier that day that this guy was A) intoxicated and B) prone to physical contact (the deputies were out earlier for a domestic between the perp and his mom when she wouldn't give him any more money to buy more beer). At best she should have just hung back and waited for backup. At the very least she should have approached and tried just talking to him. Instead she tried to go all hulk mode and failed miserably from the get go.

I've watched countless of police vids and seen many women cops talk down big fella's like this guy without having to use physical force. She failed and should be retrained, transferred to desk duty or removed from the force.

Wow. Just wow. She completely lost control of the situation. Mistakes stacked on mistakes, it's like she napped through every bit of training she had, if she had any.

When the suspect grabbed her wrists, I can't believe she didn't commence to nut-kicking.

She needs a desk job. Or better, a desk job in sales.
