Well, the problem is, with a bonus, they killed me on taxes. I mean KILLED me. I don't even want to say how much they took out, but it was over 40% altogether. FECK. So, basically the bonus will allow me to pay a few back bills, but about 80% of what I get has to just go into savings to offset the loss I'll be taking for 11 months starting in April.

Uncle Sam got a monstrous chunk of cash. I'm hoping I'll get some of that back at tax time, but I just don't know at this point. It's impossible to predict.

At the end of the year a bonus is just regular income, yeah they take more out of them but if your overall income is down dramatically you will get some of that back at the end of the year.

I believe LBJ was an SOB but everybody is correct once in a while.

Not so much pissed off but just exhausted. Life is unnecessarily rough sometimes and there is not a damn thing you can do but ride it out. :cry3:

I'm pissed because after going to the doctor this morning for my normal check up, I decided to stop by Panera for a 4 cheese soufflé and, once again, they were out. I should have learned my lesson the last 3 freaking times that I tried getting one there, but nope, I keep shooting my dumb a8s in the foot and going back all full of hope that I'll get some of that cheesy/eggy goodness. Sometimes I astound myself at how stupid I can be. Oh, and that realization pisses me off as well.

Sounds like me and Cracker Barrel with their meatloaf. I tasted it once in the 20 times I've been there.

Great day for me so far. Saw a TON of folks in the office this morning, bailed like my @$$ was on fire and loading up the truck to head out camping.
