Quiet out here tonight. This golf weather has got to go.

After working on my daughters car yesterday, I decided not to race up to the lease and hunt. Checked cards and had a 10 pt at 5:35. Arrrggh!

Well, junior fell this morning after I hunted for two weeks straight. My buddy killed him as I had family stuff to tend to today. He's been showing up on 4 cameras in a 2 mile loop every 2-3 days. Sometimes he'd hit the same spot a few days in a row. I sat in a stand I've left alone since muzzleloader on Friday morning for 4 hours. Nothing. Camera had only a few deer. Yesterday I checked the camera at noon. Junior was there at 7am. I sat that night and a deer busted me as the wind swirled. My buddy asked where he should hunt this morning and I told him to hunt there. At 855 junior stepped out at 20 yards and was dropped with one shot.

Quiet out here tonight. This golf weather has got to go.

Not a huge fan of the week's forecast. Wednesday looks to be the best day and I have the lease to myself. High hopes. Post rut can be a grind.

I haven't even shot a doe yet. Been passing everything waiting on what I haven't yet seen.

This warm weather just has them laying around and not feeding much. Opening day when it was cold, they were filtering into our milo field. Had 18 does and 3 bucks in it. Yesterday 9, today 4. When it gets cold and the weather is nasty, they will come back.

I have been hunting every day for the last 10 days or so. Usually see between 8 and 16 deer on each sit. Yesterday was 16. 11 does and 5 bucks. Today I didn't see anything. i blame the temperature. When it warms up it just seems to always greatly reduce deer sightings. I think I'm going to stay home tomorrow.

I will be back at it wednesday along with much cooler temperatures.
