.223, .243, 22-250 or something else?

I went with a used Savage Axis in .223 for now. It appears barely used though. I have a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope that I'll put on as soon as I get a set of rings.

And yes, that's a wood stock.

We've been lauding the fact they have kept their prices reasonable during these uncertain times over in "steal and deals". They will estimate shipping times to your door at 5 or so days but we have seem to be receiving ours at 2 days after the day you order.

And the shipping was reasonable. Only $5 for 5 boxes of ammo.
I've never thought about them much before. But I'm definitely going to be keeping them in mind in the future.

Thanks again to everyone. I managed to get the rifle, a set of rings, and 100 rds of ammo for about $350. That should be enough to get it sighted in and get a feel for it. I'll let you all know how it works out. (May be a few weeks though)
