Look at ammoman.com and AIM for the best prices on surplus ammo right now. It is not as cheap as I would like, but a bit cheaper than it was about a year ago. You are going to be looking at a tad under 500 bills for a 1,000 rds of surplus. Since it is in a M1A, I suggest staying away from the Wolf and other steel case ammo. Reloadable stuff is going to be more expensive but the brass is reuasable.
