Always thought it'd be cool to have the 460 in pistol and a lever action or even a rolling block action rifle to go with it. Anyone know the performance of the .460 out of a long tube?

There are two readily available commercial rifles that would make an excellent hog gun with way less grief. The Alexander Arms Beowulf is a 50 cal built on an AR15 platform. You can get 4, 7 or 10 shot mags. If you would rather shoot a lever action Big Horn Armory makes the Model 89 Rifle 500 S&W. It is a lever action gun that shoots the stout 500 S&W cartridge. I own both and do not have any commercial association with either company, I just like big bore guns and am very happy with both. It took a long timme to get the Big Horn gun, but Greg says he is caught up now and the wait time should only be a couple of months. Either one makes a great hog gun as you have up to 10 shots in the Beowulf and 5 in the BHA. Nice insurance if you might accidentally miss or make a less than lethal shot and have a rather POed hog charging at you. Google Alexander Arms or Big Horn Armory and check them out. Great guns!!
