Although I know that the SMK's will take game cleanly, they are not recommended. That is an age old argument in itself, but, having said that, I was coyote hunting with a gent who was running the 140 factory amax in his 6.5 CM. When he busted a yote at 200, it left a baseball sizeed hole in the off side, and you could see the "chunks" fly from the off side, through the scope when he touched off. Needless to say, there was not need to track the dog, he piled up about 4 feet further down range than the footprints he was in when he left the ground.
