My M1A developed some small cavities in the bolt face. I was concerned, sent it back to Springfield, they said no problem, but was caused by leaking primers. I've not seen any evidence of this on my brass - any ideas on how to identify and prevent?
What type of ammunition are you using and are you seeing any primer piercing?
No pierced primers, all Winchester Lg rifle primers, mostly milsurp brass.

you indicated milspec brass, makes me question how the crimp was removed from the primer pocket. The correct way is to swage it, removing with knife or reamer is not good.
