Buddy has a .50 BMG Barrett. People are skeert to shoot it. He had it at our last Women on Target program at the range for the lady's to shoot. Even the guys were afraid to shoot it until he brought his 14 year old daughter to the line to take the first shot.
Recoil is not bad at all. The muzzle blast is worse than the recoil. One best be standing directly behind the shooter.

Saw a .70 caliber buffalo gun in Abilene, TX when I was 12 or 13. Could have stuck my thumb in the barrel.
