870 Wingmaster price check

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what you guys think this 870 Wingmaster is worth? I see values as low as $550 and as high as $1300 for Wingmasters on GunBroker. Pictures attached.

I believe that to be OW, which assuming the barrel is original would make this an August of 1977 gun. I believe. Hope that helps

I don't rely on GB or many other auction sites for values other than these two. These two have, IMO the most realistic values you can find other than appraisers. Appraisers are the best but they cost $$.

Collectors gun. Worth about half that if you make it a shooter. The newer 870’s I purchased for a little over $200 in the 90s were total crap so you must be paying for the quality caddy of the older model. I wouldn’t pay that for much for my dream pump a Ithaca model 37 in mint condition.

So is it a safe queen or a hunter both bring pleasure? A shooter pays for itself somewhat, the collectors piece is looking for the 1% of the old men wanting to get the gun of their youth or a collector.

that’s my take anyway. I know for most of us an 870 wasn’t their dream gun you lust over, shoot I wish . JMO

It's a post 2000 gun. It has a lock on the safety. Might be an older barrel but definitely not a 70's frame.

Good info on all. It was offered to me as a trade but given all this info, especially that the barrel and frame may not match and even if they do it's a post-1990s gun, I think I'm going to pass on the trade. Thanks everyone
