The scotch, neat with a small splash. Ice "closes down" a whiskey. A small splash of water and a pair of warm hands will "open up" a good scotch.
My vote is for the Crown Black.
Balvenie is my favorite. 21 year old and 30 year old. I also like the 17 year old Balvenie Maderia Cask.

Well I'd take the Glenmorangie over the Crown any day, but I don't like the Canadian stuff, or Jack Daniels of any variety.
