Yeah very possible. You can check it yourself if you have a multimeter or a way to charge it up then just discharge it. Could be a couple of them and one or two bad.

Just google a video on how to test a capacitor. May not be able to get a replacement today unless you can find something close in an window air (older 220 one) or electric dryer to get you by for tonight. A new one will probably run around 15 to 20, either look for a electric motor repair shop or an supplier for hvac that will sell to you.

You MAY also be able to spin start the unit if it has a bad cap but it's not the best thing in the world to do and will not be a solution to last all night as once the unit shuts off you will have to be awake to start it up again.

Turned out to be a easy fix. But if I wouldn't have shut things down
It would've been more expensive fix.
