I lost 1 freezer earlier this year.. lost a bunch of meat and veggies...
I will need another soon..fishing season now!!

I always add salt to the ice water and try changing out the water every 24 hours. And do this for about a week at least. The meat has always been tender and tasted great.

Always let mine hang at camp for three to four days, even in October when temps are fairly high. Always turns out good. Just keep it covered with a net bag to keep flies out or use black pepper to keep them away.
