We use Aldi for FRESH fruit and vegetables, canned fruit, Holmes smoked sausage and eggs. Unless it is marked down, we don't look at anything at anything else.


Their cereal (Millville) is General Mills, but I haven't eaten cereal in 4 years.

In my experience their veg and fruit spoil faster than other places, but are fine if you use them quickly. Aldi is great for the basics. Bread, milk eggs, meat.

I really wish we had Lidl's here. I like them better than Aldi.

Never been in an Aldi's or Trader Joe's, and have no desire to do so.

And I damn sure don't buy groceries at Walmart!

I buy my groceries at Crest.
Big store? Yes.
Pharmacy? Yes, but privately owned.
Bank? Nope.
Food court? Nope (but they do have a pretty good deli).
Contests? Price saver clubs? Nope, and nope.
But they are still one of the cheapest grocery stores in town.

I'm not, either, but you get your quarter back when you return the cart, so it's more of a security deposit than a rental fee. That's according to the videos; I can't say I've ever been to an Aldis.

Wonder how all the other grocery stores survive not renting carts?

I’m also not a fan of our local aldi because it feels like I’m being herded thru a cattle chute. Not sure if they’re all that way.
I find better prices and selections at Crest and Firelake too.

And one check out person. Also. In Europe Aldi requires digital verification BEFORE entering the store.
But they are convienient and I do shop there.

We buy there a lot. I pay just as much to use an Aldi cart as I do anywhere else lol. Nothing.

I love ALDI and Trader Joes so much. Like actual feels.

I use to be in walking distance from TJs, when I stepped into the one in Nichols Hills after not being in one for about a year I almost cried.
