I think you are right. There was a resolution to that one....I have little hope for this one.
This thread sounds like a woman choosing a place to eat.

Only because I could not afford a nice wood sporting stock for it.You Talk crap on plastic, but didn’t your 303 Enfield have a plastic stock?
Only because everyone is trying to convince of how great ARs are instead of coming up with other ideas that are similar to what I asked about. There was a resolution to that one....I have little hope for this one.
If I was going to have an AR, it would need an 18 or 20 inch barrel. If I had to make this decision for you Rick this is what you would get.
14.5” p&w LW AR with A2 FSB
Nice 1911 with wood grips.
Be nice, I have more eye bleach photos! We should find a mod who will rename RickN to Goldilocks.
Ummm, what about your home defense requirement? If I was going to have an AR, it would need an 18 or 20 inch barrel.
I am use to longer barrels. My 12ga was an 18" my 303 was a 25" most of my other firearms thru the years have been at least 20. My AK was a 16" and I did not care for it. I wish you could get a little longer barrel on the M-1 carbine but I have never seen one and with the cartridge I do not know if you would gain anything.Ummm, what about your home defense requirement?
