Ironically, two of the three “kill shots” I‘ve captured on game camera were deer shot with my 120 gr Corelokt load out of a 6.5x55.

I love the 6.5x55 I have four built and the barrels for two more when I find a decent action. My milsurp barrels from a 96 shoot 140 gr best. 94 loves 156gr. New barrels shoot both 120 and 140 gr into groups with holes touching at 100yds. Granddaughter used one to shoot two deer this year .both one shot kills using 140 gr accubonds.

I have a model 38, 1942 Husky in a Century Arms stock, sporting a wonderful Redfield scope from the seventies!… I loaded for it all the time trying squeeze out the best load on a number of bullets….from 85 gr to 160….My favorite being Sierras 120 and hornady 129’s….I never got a suitable load for Partition 140.

A few years ago I built what's called a tweed . Turkish mauser action sporterized with a 96 barrel screwed on cut to 26". With 140 gr partitions and imr 4350 best I can do is 1 1/4" group. With the same load with accubonds less than an inch consistently. I've never got partitions to shoot as small of groups in any caliber Or rifle as I can with other bullets. But it seems I can always get acceptable hunting accuracy at normal ranges with them in all calibers I've tried them in. And if you need a bullet to just work every time they are really hard to beat. If I were going today on a once in lifetime hunt that's what I would use and sacrifice a small amount of accuracy for performance. My opinion of course
