I would really like to find a real laudanum bottle.
I've got a load of commemorative coke bottles and old soda bottles. The first old soda bottle I found, that started this craze, was a "Liberal Hi" soda bottle in the wheat field near an old homestead. I like old dumps the best.
Found lots of bottles over the years while trapping and looking for arrowheads, here's a few.
First pic is of a soda water bottle, property of coca cola, bottled in Woodward. Found it close to Mooreland.
Second pic is of a giant bottle of laxative, found in Grant Co.
Third pic, a group shot of medicine bottles, mostly laxatives or stomach illness, the RC Cola bottle was found in a pasture in Garfield Co, bottled in Enid. Bottle on the right is the soda water bottle.
My mom has two cases of Sprite(or 7up) 16oz bottles that are OU National Championship Bottles from 75' or 76'? Can't remember the year, they are pristine............and all still full!
I sold a fridge at a garage sale this past fall; the guy saw my beer bottle collection and would not buy the fridge unless I threw in my '02 Fat Tire beer bottle...I will probably never get one of those again
ALSO, are the ingredients on the COKE bottle you have? I'd be curious to know if it is real sugar or high-fructose corn syrup?
According to my wife, not the King of bottles, just the bringer home of more "interesting and useless artifacts"! I should just take a pic and throw them out somewhere else for someone else to find.
By the way, if anyone finds a glass Diet Rite bottle, crush it beyond recognition, so the history of that product can be destroyed forever........that stuff was beyond horrid.
I have a brown glass orange crush bottle I found deer hunting, several old coke and medicine bottles. Anyone remember the ma and pa mountain dew bottles?
