Anyone else find these people sketchy?

Seems like in the last two or three weeks all these older classifieds for guns are being replied to by a brand new member who asks if the gun is available and if it is they post a number to text. I get the sense they are scammers. I wonder if a rule could be made so your first post has to be to the new member introduction. Idk, just seems fishy

How does making it so your first post must be made in a new member forum deter scammers? A minimum post count would be more effective, but nowhere near fool proof.

I’m a member of forum that requires “30 meaningful posts” before you can participate in the buy/sell/trade forum. Can’t think of a single thread in that section that has been a scammer and I’ve been with them for a decade. Really keeps out the riffraff and scammers.

Unless they pay to play so as always be careful in your dealings especially with new/unknown members.

I noticed the real sketchy ones showed up around mid-August this year...
